I was reading the first chapter of Luke the other day, when Brynn approached me and asked  what I was reading about.  I told her it was about the birth of Jesus and attempted to tell her the story, when she stopped me and said,”I can tell you”.  So she did, in more detail than I would have.  It truly brought tears to my eyes.  My thoughts were of pure JOY, knowing that she understands one of the most important events in our Christian history.  So I took it a step further and asked her if she understands the meaning of Easter and she said, “Candy”.  More work ahead for me!!!!!!

A couple of days ago, I was sweeping our living room floor.  Brett said, “Look mommy, look what I can do.”  He had a pair of childs scissors clamped shut on a portion of his hair.  Apparently, the boys took turns cutting each others hair.  Everyday that goes by, I notice the art work more and more.  So if anyone would like a free haircut, just let me know and I’ll get you hooked up!!

Well, we have the YUCK..again.  I have this respiratory infection that won’t give up…even with antibiotics and asthma meds.  Brynn has been officially diagnosed with strep throat.  Reese’s chief complaint is a headache…with intermittent “my throap” hurts, and Brett has repeatedly reported that he has a sore throat also.  Yes, Reese says “throap” for “throat”.  As for myself, I have a raspy voice, which does not make my job very easy.  The kids that I see for therapy let me know that I sound awful.  Thanks alot, I tell them.  I have plenty of cheese to go with the wine!!!  You all have a wonderful week.

Well, my biggest baby is turning seven on Saturday.  I can not believe how fast these last seven years have gone by.  She is truly a blessing to our family.  As her mom, I am so fortunate to have such a special and close relationship with her.  There is something about our relationship that is so powerful…I’m sure all you mothers that have daughters know what I am talking about.  WOW!!!!  She thinks like me and sometimes completes my thought/sentence.  Not that I think like a seven year old on a regular basis.  Don’t get me wrong, we do have our spats, but who doesn’t.  If you see her on Sunday, wish her a happy birthday.  Happy Birthday Brynn, I love you more than you’ll ever know, or at least until you have children of your own.
